Edgar Anido was born in Santa Clara, Cuba. He studied ballet at the National School of Ballet in Havana Cuba, with instructor Adria Velasquez. Edgar joined Camaguey Ballet in 1999 where, as a soloist, he danced principal roles including La Fille Mal Gardee, Flower Festival, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet and Carmen. In 2002, Edgar joined Central Theater Ballet in Guayaquil, Ecuador as a principal dancer, where he performed leading roles in Coppelia, La Sylphide, Le Corsaire, Diana y Acteon, and The Nutcracker, among others. He won the silver medal and a special mention for Interpretation at the Contemporary Dance Competition, Solo Para Dous 2001. Offstage, Edgar and his wife, Anna, welcomed their first child in 2005, daughter Alisha. This is his first season with Ballet Gamonet Maximum Dance. Edgar has performed with the South Florida Ballet Theater for the past two seasons in The Sleeping Beauty, La Fille Mal Gardée, Stars and Stripes.
Susan Bello is a native of Maracaibo, Venezuela who trained with Sasha Gosic and Nedo Vojkich. In 1988, she joined Ballet de Maracaibo under the direction of Nedo Vojkich. She has also worked with directors such as Zandra Rodriguez and Vincent Nebrada, and danced with Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas and the Ballet Nacional de Caracas. She has performed principal roles in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, and Fire Bird, among others. In Venezuela in 1998, Susan received the award for Best Classical Dancer in the national competition “Casa del Artista.” This is Susan's first season with Ballet Gamonet Maximum Dance.
Christine Hodges is a native of Caracas, Venezuela. Her ballet training includes the Academy Lidija Franklin, Maria Teresa Ballet School and Nina Novak Academy. In 1995, she received first place in the London Ballet's summer workshop, and in 1998 and 2002, participated in the Jackson International Ballet Competition. Christine danced with National Ballet Juvenile of Venezuela, Ballet Classic of Camara, Tulsa Ballet Theater, and Ballet Florida. Her repertory includes Carmen, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Theme and Variations, Who Cares, Dracula by Ben Stevenson, and Romeo & Juliet, among others. This is Christine's first season with Ballet Gamonet Maximum Dance. Christina has performed with the South Florida Ballet Theater for the past three years as Principal Dancer in Don Quixote as Ketri, The Sleeping Beauty as Aurora, Peter and the Wolf The Bird, Nutcracker as The Dew drop fairy.
Migdalia Martinez began her training at the age of 10 at the Ballet School of Keyla Ermecheo in her home country of Venezuela. At age 13, she joined the Ballet Nacional de Caracas Youth Company. She started her professional career at age 14 as a member of the corps with Ballet Nacional de Caracas under the artistic direction of Vicente Nebrada, where she was promoted to soloist-principal. She began dancing principal roles in works such as The Nutcracker, The Firebird, Cinderella, Romeo & Juliet, Don Quixote, Serenade, Concerto Barroco, and others. She was recognized by her country for her artistic endeavors in 2000 with the Revelation Award, and in 2001 as Classical Dancer. She participated in all Ballet Nacional de Caracas international and national tours from 1992 to 2002. She has also danced with San Antonio Ballet and The Florida Ballet. Migdalia joined the Company in the 2004-2005 season. Migdalia has performed with the South Florida Ballet theater as a soloist in the Nutcracker.
Anna Maria Ochoa-Anido was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and began her training at the School of Central Theater Ballet at age 9. At age 16, she joined the Center Theater Ballet Youth Company, and at 17 she started her professional career as a corps with Central Theater Ballet under the Artistic direction of Clara Diaz. Ms. Ochoa received full scholarships where she attended many prestigious summer programs such as the School of Camaguey-Cuba (Feb.-May. 2001), School of ballet Municipal of Santiago de Chile-Chile (Feb-March. 2002, Feb-April 2003), and School of Ballet and Musical Comedy Julio Bocca in Buenos Aires-Argentina ( April 2004). Anna was promoted to a soloist of the company in 2001, and Principal Dancer in 2003, when she began dancing principal roles such as La Fille mal Gardee, Romeo and Juliet, La Sylphide, Carmen, Eddy Borges’s Moulin Rouge, and many others. Ms. Ochoa was invited to participated in the International Festival of Trujillo in Lima-Peru. Anna has performed with the south Florida ballet theater as a Principal Dancer in La Fille Mal Gardée Stars and Stripes and the Nutcracker Ballet.
Howard Pitterson Jamaican-born, studied and danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal. It was American Ballet Theatre that brought Howard to the United States, from Canada, as a scholarship student. While at ABT, he joined The Harkness Ballet in New York City. Howard has guest-artisted with numerous regional ballet companies in the US. He is the author of two novels: Spectre of Seven and Deadly Embrace. Howard has performed with the South Florida Ballet Theater as a character dancer in La Fille Mal Gardée.
M. Quimen Sanchez, started his early training with Linda De Chane. He continued on to study under full scholarships with Orlando Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet School and Ballet Hispanico. Under the direction and guidance of the late Fernando Bujones, Quimen has performed rolls in The Nutcracker, Spartacus and Coppelia. He has also originated several principal rolls with Ohio Dance Theatre in their productions of Snow White, Alice In Wonderland, and Carmen. This past summer Quimen performed Sierra Nevada Ballet in Reno, Nevada. There he danced as part of the original cast in several new exciting works by Rosine Bena. In addition, Quimen has previously performed with South Florida Ballet in their production of Sleeping Beauty and is glad to be back for Nutcracker 2006.
Gypsy Hall trained at the Professional School of Plastic Arts in Camaguey, danced with the Professional Ballet Company of Camaguey as a principal soloist. She has worked in theaters around the world under the direction of renowned figures such as Fernando Alonso and Alicia Alonso. Gypsy has performed as soloist with the South Florida Ballet Theater for the past three years in the Nutcracker Ballets and The Sleeping Beauty.
Maria A. Jimenez studied at the School of Classical Ballet, Nina Nova and Caracas National Ballet. She won the silver metal for International Classical & Contemporary Ballet Compaction. Maria has performed as a soloist with the South Florida Ballet Theater for the past three years in several Nutcrackers, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Peter and the Wolf, La Fille Mal Gardée
Johanna Anez started her ballet training at age 7 in the Secretary of Culture of Maracaibo, Venezuela. At age 14 she started dancing for Danzarte Ballet Company and later with the Ballet de Maracaibo Company. Johanna performed in the Modern Dance Festival in Germany with Azudanza. Johanna has performed as Principal dancer with the South Florida Ballet Theater for the past four year as Clara in several Nutcrackers, Mercedes in Don Quixote, The Lilac Fairy in The sleeping Beauty and La Fille Mal Gardée.
Karina Teran began her training in 1978 where she studied Spanish and International dance in Olga Valdez Studio, Guayaquil, Equador. She earned a Bachelor in Art and Classical Dance and was awarded “The Best Bachelor Award” in 1996. She later went on to perform with many major companies like Tearo Centro De Arte Ballet of Guayaquil , the Ballet De Camara Del Tearo Municipal of Santiago De Chile and the Boston Flamenco Ballet. Karina has performed with the South Florida ballet theater for the past two seasons in The Nutcracker, and the Sleeping Beauty.
Jorge Cardenas a native of Lima, Peru began his taining at the ballet municipal de Lima. As a principal dancer with the Karem Connoly Dance Company he performed in Don Quixote and the Nutcraker.  Mr. Cardenas persued his dancing careerwith Miami International Ballet, where he performed many classical and modern ballets.  After moving to New York he joined the Alex Tressor Dance Company, a Neo-Classical Company.   Jorge continues his carrer as a freelance performing artist in Classical Ballet, Mordern, Character Theater and Movies.
